Check Out My Brand New “Fundamentals of Video” Course on Lynda.com
It’s been a long minute since I’ve last put up a blog post, so wanted to come back with a bang. I mentioned awhile back that I would have some big news in the realm of film education and I can now officially share that news- which is my brand-spanking new video course on Lynda.com entitled The Fundamentals of Video: Cameras and Shooting. If you work in film and video and don’t know who Lynda.com is, you better ask somebody!
…Okay, since I brought it up, I’ll just break it down – Lynda.com is the leader in online video training on everything from Avid to After Effects to photography to business software and yes, now even video production. Their videos are all very professional and well-crafted. Best of all, it’s a subscription model, so once you sign up you can watch as many of their courses as you want from the basics to the advanced on any topic they cover.
All of the courses are broken up into bite-size mini-lessons which makes them easy to take in during a lunch break or spare time for busy people like us. If you’re self-teaching or looking to expand your video skill set to the latest filmmaking software, Lynda.com is a no-brainer.
My new Lynda.com course is an introductory video course aimed specifically at helping people:
- learn the basic craft of video from scratch
- fill-in the blanks you may have missed in film classes
- help photographers and journalists smoothly cross-over to the world of video
