PEEP THIS: $1.99 App + Creativity = Visual Poetry

Posted by Anthony - February 6, 2012 - Cinematography, Experimental, Filmmaking Apps - No Comments

This is by far the coolest thing I’ve seen all month.  Filmmaker and visual poet, Vituc, who reps Luxembourg City recently shared this beautiful stop motion experimental film entitled, “Yesterday”.  It was created using my very favorite photo app, Hipstamatic ($1.99).

To be 100% clear, this project was made using all digital still photos shot and “processed” on a cell phone – not a video cam or fancy post filter. The Hipstamatic stills were edited to give the appearance of motion and music was added and you have visual poetry.

It is yet another testament to my philosophy of creativity over tools.  Free your mind and your budget will follow.  You da man, Vituc.  You are this week’s Down and Dirty DV All-Star!
