A New $50 Follow Focus for DSLR’s

Filmmaker Wiley Davis of Bozeman, Montana is my kind of guy – a plain-spoken, practical guerrilla problem-solver who wants to help his fellow filmmakers do things better and cheaper.

One of the many accessories that can help you shoot better DSLR footage is a follow focus. However, a quick Google shopping search will reveal that adding a follow focus to your DSLR rig ain’t cheap.

Not one to just sit on the sidelines and observe a problem, Wiley has invented a brand-new simple follow-focus device that he says will work with any lens on a DSLR video camera with standard rod supports.  He launched a Kickstarter.com campaign to raise the money needed to mass-produce his new product which is simply and appropriately called, “$50 Follow Focus”.

Check out the his kickstarter video below and click HERE if you want to be the first on your block to cop one when they are released later this year or if you just want to kick in a few bucks to support a fellow filmmaker who’s helping us help ourselves.
