So the question is being posed as to whether Woody Harrelson’s character in “Rampart” is “the most corrupt cop ever on screen”.  The benchmark for me is Denzel Washington in “Training Day”, whose performance blew me away (and also genuinely disturbed and scared the hell out of me), so Woody’s got a pretty high mark set for him on that one, but he’s more than capable of scary and corrupt.  We’ll see.

Gritty. Violent. Titillating… Woody Harrelson is my kind of actor and this looks like my kind of movie.  Peep the trailer. ‘Nuff said.

  • He’s a pretty good chameleon. I’d check this film out. Training Day is the benchmark, just as you said. I’d throw in the film Dirty and that other one with Christian Bale where he was trying to become an officer but actually placed on special missions. TLegacy! in Motion

I have to check out “Dirty” if it’s on Netflix. Never heard of that one. A lot of people been telling that the cop on the TV show “The Shield” was their vote, but I’ve never watched it.
